| You are visiting Capileira, the highest of the three white
villages in the Poqueira Ravine, down the gorge you'll find the white
villages of Bubion, and Pampaneira. The overwhelming views to the
Poqueira Ravine, part of the Sierra Nevada National Park and a

holiday destination for everyone who likes to enjoy the nature of a

It's a two hours ride by
car Capileira to Malaga Airport, 45 minutes to the beach, at the
Costa Tropical with it's beautiful coast towns, Motril, Almuñecar and La
Herradura.
Nerja a small town just
beside, but already located on the Costa del Sol is famous for
it's caves, located in Maro and well worth a visit. The province's
capital Granada is at a distance of about one hour by car and nobody who
visits this former Moorish kingdom capital should forget to visit the
antique palace of the ancient Moorish kinks, probably
the most famous of all historical buildings in Andalusia, the Alhambra.
| Situated in the high mountain folds of Sierra Nevada,
the heart of the Sierra Nevada National
Park, you will discover those ancient, white villages
mainly build by the Moorish population, more than a thousand
years ago, when they reigned in Al Andaluz. Those
beautiful whitewashed Villages, of the grenadine Las
Alpujarras, are nowadays well known for local products
like, Wine, Ham, Cheese, or handcrafts made of
local olive wood, as well as Andalusia and Moorish
tradition pottery. |

1.436 m above sea level, Capileira stands at the head of the
three villages
in the Poqueira Ravine and has become the most
popular of these, due to it's efforts
for excellent services to visitors and tourists.
